Shirley Shoemake Burnett made her way into this world on June 24, 1950 – born to Rosetta Oxendine Worth in Plant City, Florida. The bookends of her life contain countless chapters and pages of experiences, personal connections and evolution. But, those chapters are illustrative of a woman with an unwavering faith in and devotion to God as a long-time Christian in the Church of Christ, an unconditional dedication to her family, a passion for caregiving and giving back to the community, a true sense of empathy and compassion, and a mission to help make this world a better place than when she was born into it.
