Loria Ann Dewberry

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Loria Ann Dewberry on December 19, 2024.  Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Mrs. Loria Ann Dewberry was born August 11,1960, as the first of seven children to the late Susie Reed and James Marshall.

Loria was a native of Fort Valley, Georgia and received her education in the Peach County School system. She proudly graduated from Peach County High School and went on to receive an Associate, Bachelor and Master’s degree in Business Administration at Columbia Southern University. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars. She was able to retire from Fort Valley State University from her role as Senior Administrative Assistant in which she held for over 30+ years.

Loria accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age, finding her spiritual home at Temple of Miracles Worship Center in Perry, Georgia.

Loria love for her family and friends ran deep. The bond with her loved ones was unbreakable. She went above and beyond to ensure the well-being of her family and friends. As a devoted wife, loving mother, nurturing grandmother, beloved sister, caring aunt, cherished friend, she surrounded her love ones with warmth, kindness, love and attention. Her strong faith, pure heart, and unforgettable smile will be deeply missed.

Loria Ann Dewberry went home to her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2024 at the age of 64, after a battle with ALS. We are forever grateful to have her in our lives.

Loria leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she adored: she is survived by her devoted children, Kirtisha L. Dewberry and LaCovia C. Dewberry from a previous marriage; one precious grandson, D’Kari Thomas-Smith; three sisters: Joann Thomas, Sarah Williams, Carolyn Haugabook (Jason); four brothers: Irvin Reed (Vickie), Jimmie Reed, Sammy Felton (Andrea), Randy Hillman; three aunts: Betty Dean (Carl), Nancy Wright, Van Ethel Harris; one uncle, Gordon Owens (Arnita); devoted friends: Von Hollis, Rose Harris, Marvin Little, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Sisterhood friends.
