Latonya Prentiss Daniels was born on July 19, 1965, to the beloved Minnie Clyde Daniels and Willie George “Bo” Thomas. She attended the public schools of Fort Valley, Georgia, where she grew up surrounded by love and community.
Latonya was a dedicated and hardworking woman. For several years, she was employed at McDonald’s in Fort Valley, Georgia, where she built lasting friendships. She later joined Fort Valley State University, where she served faithfully for many years until her well-earned retirement in 2022.
In loving memory, we honor the life of a dearly departed soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Latonya had one daughter, Deidra Dickson who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted friend, Mr. Willie Patterson; her loving daughters: Crystal Dickson of Perry, GA; Gabrielle Dickson of Fort Valley, GA; and Janecia Dickson of Warner Robins, GA; sisters: Bulinda Daniels of Macon, GA; Carrie (Jamie) Robinson of Fort Valley, GA; Shirley Wright of Warner Robins, GA; and Sharon Jackson of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Willie Daniels of Macon, GA; her devoted granddaughter, Tiyonna Dickson of Fort Valley, GA; three grandsons: Christan Dickson, Cameron Dickson, and Larry Marshall III, all of Perry, GA; her loving aunt, Michelle Mitchell of Macon, GA; two uncles: James Mitchell and Andrew Mitchell of Macon, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and dear friends.
Latonya will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her love and light will continue to shine through the lives she so deeply impacted.
