Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Gloria Nedd on December 16, 2023. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.
Gloria “Pookie” Nedd was born on May 21, 1956 in Montezuma, Georgia. She passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 67, while a patient at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia. Although she was born in Montezuma, her family moved to Marshallville, Georgia where she resided until her death.
“Pookie” attended D.F. Douglas High School and graduated in 1976. She was a member of Glorious Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Marshallville, Georgia. Worked as an assembly technician at Eaton-Cooper Lighting Company.
She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She found comfort and enjoyment when listening to her favorite Gospel Music. She also loved completing puzzles in her word puzzle books. Pookie was a kind hearted and joyful person to all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosa Nedd and grandfather, Jessie Nedd.

including: Daughters: Alicia Nedd and Crystal (Derick) Ross both of Perry GA , Kimbara Nedd of Tallahassee FL and Quartil Nedd of Warner Robins, GA; a son, Wesley (Shakelia) Nedd of Perry, GA; mother, Edna Nedd of Perry, GA; a sister, Jackie (Elton) Sparks of Perry, GA; brothers: Fogie Fagan, George Nedd and Kelvin Nedd all of Perry, GA; aunts: Iris Rumph of Perry, GA , Wille Lou Leary of Marshallville , GA and Jessie Sipp of Orlando, FL; 15 Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren; a very dear friend, Terry White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
