On Sunday, May 8, 2022, the soul of our beloved Gail Thomas Jones, was called to her eternal home. She was born to the late Gladys M. Thomas and the late Mr. David Rumph, in Fort Valley, GA. She attended the public schools of the Peach County School System. As a child, she confessed her love for Christ, and she joined the Fairview CME Church of Fort Valley. She served on the Missionary Board until
her health failed.
She was employed by Borden Milk Company of Macon, GA for many years as a shopping clerk. Upon retiring, she continued to labor by nurturing and caring for kids.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers: Howard Thomas, Harold Thomas, and Terry Thomas; one sister, Lillian Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; one daughter: Qwinder (Tabitha) Thomas-Hannor of Fort Valley, GA; one son: Harold D. Jones of Valdosta, GA; one granddaughter: Aya G'ail Pasby of Fort Valley, GA; three sisters: Christina Goodman, Iona Thomas, and Sandra Goodman all of Fort Valley, GA; two brothers: Pernell Thomas and Daryl Thomas both of Fort Valley, GA ; one uncle: Jimmy Lee Rumph of Fort Valley, GA; devoted cousins: Mary Hudson, Wincie Fuller, Barbara Booth, and Evelyn Rumph all of Fort Valley, GA; devoted friends: Teresa Brown of Macon, GA, Amos "Fox" Brown and Leary "Sally" Wallace both of Fort Valley, GA and Albert Manson of Byron, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
