Chance Ross

Edwards Small Mortuary announces with our deepest sympathy the passing of Chance Ross on January 20, 2024.  Our sincere condolences to the family and friends. 

Chance D. Ross was born September 04, 2003 to parents Tracy D. Lindsey and Lisa Ross. On January 20, 2024 he was called home to his heavenly father.

Chance was affectionally called “Daddy” by his close relatives. Chance attended Peach County High School. He was a joyous and straightforward person. Chance loved the Lord and accepted Christ at a very young age. He put a lot of time in studying the word of GOD and he shared the gospel with people he came in contact with.

He was an advocate for clean healthy living. Chance was a hard worker who worked for Department of Transportation. He did not mind getting his hands dirty. As a child he spent his time working on cars with his dad and uncle. Repairing cars lead to his passion in building his own car but unfortunately, he did not get to finish.

Chance did not have children of his own, but his cousin Nyesha West blessed him with Makaila and Sergio (second cousins) whom he treated as his own.

Chance is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother whom he adored “Willie Mae Ross” and his grandfather “Edward Ross Sr.”. Also, his loving uncle “Rodney Ross Sr.

Chance is survived by and will be missed by his parents: Tracy Lindsey and Lisa Ross; his grandparents: Leslie Lane Sr. and Sandra Lane; brother; Corey D. McKinney; sister; Tatika E. Walton, sister/cousin; Quashavious Ross, favorite uncles: “Tag” and Derrick Ross, aunt; Marilyn Rumph, great aunt ; Erica Morton, best friend and cousin; Montavious T. Ross, dearest cousins: Rodney Ross Jr., Freddie M. Bottom Jr., Kelvin Morton, Christopher Buckner, Calvin Morton and Michael Buckner; close friends: Joshua Dixon , Toni Parker and Tamyra Blackmon Harris; along with a host of other loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
